GIDDIS were engaged by Macquarie Data Centres to provide full project management services for their IC3e development. IC3e is located within the Sydney North Zone in Macquarie Park and is a purpose-built data centre for hyperscalers, content service providers, government bodies, and cloud industries looking for the ideal destination for whitespace and colocation services. It is one of the most advanced data centres within Australia – designed to provide scalability, security and convenience.

Phase 1 of the project was completed in 2020, delivering 13,400m² total floor space and an additional 16MW to the Macquarie Park Data Centre Campus. IC3 East is Uptime Institute Tier III certified with a design PUE of 1.28. The Phase 1 development comprised an extension of the existing IC2 data centre with ancillary office facilities.

GIDDIS’ engagement for this project was from the early stages of Design, Budgeting, Development Application management, Programming through to Main Contractor procurement and the construction management and superintendent role. GIDDIS delivered the project on time and within budget.
